OOTD: Sunday

Wow today was a fun day! It certainly was a holiday for us. 

We all lounged around the house this morning and when Zoe woke up from her first nap we went to eat at Black Walnut Cafe. I had the Black Walnut Lemon Chicken, Nick had Artichoke and Spinach Rigatoni, and Zoe had a grilled chicken breast with house potatoes. As usual, Zoe made friends with everyone at the restaurant. 

After that we headed over to Learning Express. This is my absolute favorite toy store! They have quality toys and exceptional customer service. They also offer gift registry and complimentary gift wrap! I have still not set foot in a Toys R Us and I probably never will thanks to this place. They are having a storewide 40% off sale because they are moving to a new location. Nick and I picked up a Baby Stella doll and high chair. 

When we got home Zoe was carrying Stella around until I put them both in the crib for a nap. I caught up on my blogging and Nick played with his telescope while Zoe napped. She woke up just in time to meet my father-in-law and sister-in-law for dinner at Saltgrass. Everyone got a kick out of Zoe cramming food into her mouth and we had a great meal. Nick is out in the country using his telescope to take pictures of planets. So we have all had a fun day!

OOTD: Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all my fellow moms! I had a GREAT, relaxing day. I didn't have to change a single diaper today! My husband got up with Zoe while I slept in a little. He also picked up Starbucks and made breakfast (migas, bacon, and mimosas) for my mom and me. My mom left for San Antonio when Zoe went down for her second nap. Nick and I also took a nap and then had a late lunch. After that we went over to my in-laws house for a bit and picked up Zoë's Kitchen to go. Now we are catching up on our DVR. Oh, and even though I told Nick not to get me anything he got me these gorgeous roses:

OOTD: Sunday + Spurs Sweep the Lakers!

Today we took a trip to Famous Footwear and Kohl's for Nick. He had some gift certificates from his birthday he wanted to use. He pretty much only buys his clothes with gift cards! He ended up getting a new pair of shoes and two pairs of jeans. Zoe made lots of friends at Kohl's. All of the employees were talking to her while Nick was in the dressing room. After that we stopped by Subway to get lunch. Then we came home so Zoe could take her afternoon nap. I made spaghetti, rotini, meatballs, marinara sauce, garlic bread, salad, and chocolate chip cookies for dinner. That's sounds like a lot but to be honest I used jar sauce and frozen garlic bread. :)

Today I was inspired by Fiesta. I was not able to return to my hometown to participate in any festivities but I was there in spirit! Like I have said before, I love a good wedge. These are perfect for spring and summertime. My necklace is actually from the restaurant where I had my lingerie shower (I can't remember the name though). I did find some similar necklaces from Sparkle Plenty on Etsy. The shop is located in San Antonio so they may be the same as mine. Go  Spurs Go!

On Sunday my husband finished up his yard work. He replaced a bunch of shrubs with different flowering shrubs. He also laid down more mulch and added chicken wire to holes under our fence from the neighbor's lovely dogs. I was sick (or semi-sick) so I spent the day inside with Zoe.

This is the only view of my outfit you will get. It's a two piece lounge set from Free People and the girly details made me feel a little better.
