OOTD: Thursday

Today was story time at the library. It was a packed house but I'm guessing that was because some kiddos are out of school for the summer. Zoe enjoyed it, as usual and carried her two books around the entire time. I ate lunch and did some laundry while she took her first nap. After I gave her lunch we played around the house. I also fit in some more laundry and cleaning during that time. I started dinner while she took her second nap (tacos and Spanish rice from scratch). Zoe took her time eating (actually she was dumping the contents of her plate onto her try and the floor) so I was able to run a load of dishes in the dishwasher. Nick played with her for a bit before he went to get more pictures of the three planets. She seemed tired so I put her down early and folded more laundry (yes, MORE). She played quietly for almost an hour and just fell asleep. I also gave myself a coconut oil hair mask and had a glass of red wine- cheers!

So this is what I wore to story time at the library today. I knew I was going to wear the hat because I wouldn't have time to wash my hair in the morning. I actually wore a v-neck short sleeved shirt but I got a chocolate stain on it so I took it off to remove the stain. I like this tank better though. I don't know why the hat looks so odd in this picture. I promise it looks better in person! Also, the flip flops weren't comfortable for sitting on the floor either! Next time I will just go barefoot.

OOTD: Friday + My Mom's Here!

Zoe and I stayed home this morning because it rained like CRAZY. There was flooding, lightning striking houses, and it was pitch black. Luckily I was too busy with Zoe to even notice. We had fun at home though. She was great, as usual, so I got more cleaning and laundry done today. Nick got home from work early so we all played until my mom got here. She brought me my favorite tamales and now I won't have to cook much this weekend! After that we all went out to have Mexican food. 

It's hard to get a good picture of both of us now that Zoe just wants to walk around.

And she looks like she's about to take off here.

Here I am in yet another army pants/flip flops combo. They are just so comfortable! Obviously I dressed them down today but I have more ideas for dressing them up. And I love this tee. The saying cracks me up! When I saw it it totally reminded me of the "ship my pants" commercial, which I happen to think is hilarious. I also went with the beachy waves again and per recommendation of a Facebook friend I pinned my bangs back.

Two OOTD's inspired by Cady Heron

Today was spent getting Zoe back on schedule and the house in order (dishes, laundry, etc.) after our weekend out of town. We also went to Kroger for a few groceries and I stopped by Starbucks for Frappuccino happy hour. Onto our outfit inspiration:

As you can see our outfits were inspired by Cady Heron. Mean Girls is one of my favorite movies! Perhaps I will wear pink tomorrow. 

What can I say? I love a good army pant. I didn't have any this length so I went ahead and bought these from Nordstrom. And I'm glad I did. They are sooooo comfortable! My next pair of jeans will be Kut from the Kloth for sure. They do run a bit large so size down. I am also loving muscle tees right now. Maybe because they make me look like I have muscles? These flip flops were actually bought by my mom on my wedding day. :) I was getting my makeup done (at M.A.C inside Nordstrom, natch) and I realized I didn't have any comfortable shoes to slip into for the reception. So we headed over to the shoe department and picked these out. I still love them three years later and I'll probably cry if they ever break.
